Fruit, Culture, and Compromise: A Funny Lesson on Travel Etiquette

The reality of travel is sometimes this ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ™Œ Wait until the end to see the ridiculousness of the situation ๐Ÿซ ๐Ÿ‰๐ŸŒ

Honestly - you couldnโ€™t make this up, but I really wanted to share this as a lesson on the difference of cultures - and the importance of not insulting others while visiting their home country ๐Ÿฅฒ.

This home stay was so lovely and kind, and I knew that they were just being hospitable to give me such a big plate of fresh fruit in the first place, but unfortunately I have had to learn the hard way about staying safe when it comes to eating food in foreign countries.

It can be anything from chicken and meat, to salad that has been washed with unfiltered water toโ€ฆ dirty fruit. Nevermind my gluten intolerance issues!

So Iโ€™m now really careful - but Iโ€™m also conscious enough to be polite about the situation. In India, itโ€™s rude to leave food left uneaten, so I couldnโ€™t dare insult the nice people! Watch until the end to see what I had to do ๐Ÿฅฒ

Have you had any situations like this? ๐Ÿ‘€
