Making The Most of Travel Connections

Cyprus would not be a typical choice of mine for travel destinations. It was a necessary connection between flights - so I figured, I had never been, so I may as well make the most of it!

I spent a few days in Paphos and Larnaca (posts on this to come!).

Paphos is definitely more of a resort town, but it does have a great cafe culture beachside - and stays warm much longer than anywhere else in the EU. So this is a fantastic option for any remote workers looking to stay near Europe’s time zone, while enjoying some sunshine long into November.

I’m not going to say it was a pleasant surprise. It was perhaps a bit underwhelming. BUT.. and this is a huge but.. I was en route to some of my favorite places, so I don’t think I was in the right mindset. If looking for a place to escape the cold winter, while staying in the EU - I think it would have been something I might have enjoyed more. That’s how it goes while traveling permanently, right? Sometimes we are spoiled. 🥲🙌
