Shifting into the Next Journey

This is it! Today is my last day as a full time traveler. Wow, what a journey. Last night as I sat & thought through the experiences I’ve had these last 3 years, the people I’ve met, the lessons, both life & cultural, I couldn’t help but be immensely grateful for this gift. How I’ve grown as a person, developed personally & spiritually & how I’ve really come to full embodiment of who I am.

I wrote a few weeks ago about this decision. For my readers, it might feel sudden - but in actuality, it was something I intuitively felt nearly a year ago. The joy of travel was becoming more of a burden. Another flight to catch, more cultural sites I *must* visit, the scramble to find gluten free food & solid WiFi. Travel is meant to be a pleasure. When it starts to feel like this, it’s time for change.

But aren’t there full time digital nomads who live this life forever? Yes, there are. They move, they stay for 6 months & they move again. SLOWLY. Then there are those like me & move closer to 1 month at a time. There are also those who have a home base & explore from there. I’ve tried them all! I’m grateful for all of it - such a gift & an opportunity I’d always craved.

Now comes the next flex - making a home in one of the countries I found along the way. A place that felt contagious at first, increasingly felt like home & that I’ve actually found I continue to miss when I’m not there. So we have it!

The next phase of this adventure. Learning a new language, adapting to life in a new culture & using this as my home base to build what I feel is truly critical for the next era of travel, @sojournserai. I couldn’t be more thrilled.

Serai will be a community for what I call digital nomads 2.0 These don’t really need to be full time digital nomads & they certainly aren’t backpackers. Serai is a platform for grown up travelers, exploring the world in a grown up way. Each & every property will have community, solid WiFi, fully stocked kitchens, a workspace & a high quality bed.

I can’t wait to build this for you. Questions? Want to get involved? Drop me a comment. I respond ☺️🙌
